Klimer Enhances Product Line with the KTP-3 Transport Platform’s Innovative Design

The KTP-3 transport platform design utilizes Klimer’s mast climbing work platform technology and components for the elevating mechanism and platform structure but are configured for convenient, safe loading and unloading of materials. They provide an alternative to traditional material handling methods on construction projects and can reduce the hazards associated with manual material handling. They are not intended to replace construction hoists but will address industry needs for material handling solutions where traditional construction hoists are not possible or practical.

Klimer’s KTP-3 transport platform travels at a variable travel speed of up to 39″ft or (0-12m) per minute with capacities of up to 3,500lbs. (1590 kg) or 8 persons.   Unique features such as Floorfind* technology ensures the platform takes you to the right height every time. The 56” in. (1422mm) wide platform and generous sized ramps easily accommodate awkward or bulky loads.  The KTP-3’s hydraulic-powered loading ramps are conveniently controlled from the operator station, increasing safety and reducing cycle times.

Other safety features such as ramp interlocks, descent travel pause at 10″ ft (3.05m), auxiliary engine for emergency descent and a maintenance free brake system are all standard features incorporated into the KTP-3’s design. The modular two-in-one design of the KTP-3 connects to the KlimerLite drive and mast.  The simple addition of platform modules expands the KTP-3 into a work platform, allowing for increased utilization and return on investment.
