Irvine, CA— April 30, 2009 — JE Dunn Construction Company announced today the appointment of Curt Campbell as Vice President of Preconstruction for its Southwest Division, including California and Arizona. Mr. Campbell’s appointment is part of the continued expansion of JE Dunn Construction’s growth in California, where it has recently opened offices in Irvine and San Diego. The company’s Arizona office is in Phoenix.
Mike Castillo, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Southwest Division said Campbell brings three decades of experience in preconstruction services and project management to his new post.
“Curt Campbell has strong estimating skills as well as a solid background in project management and design,” Castillo said. “He is one of the most highly regarded senior estimators and managers within the field.”
As Vice President of Preconstruction, Mr. Campbell has responsibility for all aspects of preconstruction services, including detailed construction estimates, comparative cost analyses, building system evaluations, preliminary schedules, constructability reviews, and cost saving options.
Mr. Campbell, who has been with JE Dunn for 22 years, has served as the lead estimator for over 200 construction projects with a combined value of over $5 billion. Prior to his appointment as Vice President of Preconstruction, he served as Estimator and Senior Estimator with the company.
Mr. Campbell holds a B.A. in Architecture from the University of Illinois and a M.S. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Kansas. He is a Certified Professional Estimator and a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators. He has served as a Lecturer at the University of Missouri and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Kansas, School of Engineering.
