HMH Builders to Strengthen Competitive Edge with Brand Renovation

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — HMH Builders is fully assimilating itself with Swinerton Builders, who it merged with more than 12 years ago. As the construction industry continues to evolve, HMH Builders and Swinerton realize the strength of a fully integrated brand. The company will see competitive advantages, allowing its customers to experience the difference through an increase in internal collaboration to drive innovation, achieve better utilization of staffing resources and the creation of more opportunities to pursue work in a wider geographic range.

“We are excited to be in the final stages of fully integrating both HMH Builders and Swinerton Builders,” said David Higgins, Jr., Swinerton Builders Sacramento general manager. “We have been working closely together for the last 12 years and this will allow us to pass a variety of competitive advantages onto our customers, including better utilization of our expertise, improved depth and diversity of our resources and a stronger knowledge base to draw from. It is a natural evolution in the growth and history of HMH Builders to keep us competitive and strong so we can continue to do what we do best — work safely every day, do a great job for our clients and have some fun while doing it.”

The integration is expected to be fully complete by October 19, 2012, as HMH Builders renovates its brand into Swinerton Builders Sacramento. To those that know HMH Builders now and have worked with the company in the past, the only change will be the logo seen on the hardhats of their project teams, trucks and awards. The company’s commitment to the community will remain, as will their support of numerous local non-profits and community organizations including local food banks, the Salvation Army and Sacramento Tree Foundation. The local roots of HMH Builders will continue to grow even deeper and stronger as the company transforms into Swinerton Builders Sacramento and spreads its reach deeper into the San Francisco Bay Area and other areas of Northern California. These stronger ties will bring more relationships and work opportunities to the Sacramento region, benefitting the local business community.

Current regional projects being built by HMH Builders/Swinerton Builders Sacramento in Northern California include : renovation of the Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center, construction of the John Muir Health Ambulatory Care Center in Walnut Creek and 40MW of utility scale photovoltaic solar energy generation for Recurrent Energy in Galt. They recently completed the renovation of the Riverbank Elementary School in West Sacramento, the Sutter Elk Grove Ambulatory Surgery Center and the expansion of the Kaiser South Sacramento Medical Center.
