ALACHUA, Fla. — While earning an Associated Builders and Contractors Eagle Award for construction excellence in the state of Florida in 2012 was impressive, the NCCER headquarters project has already received two distinguished national honors this year. At a ceremony last week in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., The Haskell Company was awarded the ABC National Excellence in Construction Eagle Award and the Design-Build Institute of America Award for the 33,455-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility.
NCCER's headquarters building, which has also received LEED-Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council , features innovative technology and high-efficiency energy systems. The building was completed in 2011 and is dedicated to the owners, contractors, trainers, associations, educational and government entities that support the development of the current and future construction workforce.
ABC's Excellence in Construction Awards honor the year's most outstanding construction projects and contractors for remarkable achievements in leadership, safety, innovation and diversity.
