The new location hosts Haskell's Center of Excellence for packaging and material handling systems design and implementation, and is staffed by a team of 50 professionals previously located in Duluth, Ga.
“The new facility is more centrally located, reflecting Haskell's desire to increase its presence in the Atlanta metropolitan area and provide a space with upgraded amenities for its employees and clients,” said Keith Perkey, regional vice president responsible for Atlanta operations. “The close proximity of the office to the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and Atlanta's core provides much easier access for visiting clients, and there is a variety of public transportation options and abundant lodging in the area.”
In addition to providing a more comfortable and appealing workspace, this facility takes advantage of the latest advances in technology to improve efficiency and enable better communication between offices, job sites and client locations. One such example is the installation of a video collaboration room that allows audio and video communication between several locations simultaneously. “Using this technology, we can conduct face-to-face project reviews with clients and allow video access to drawings and dynamic modeling systems online, eliminating the need for either party to travel,” said Perkey. In addition, job site inspections can be performed remotely through connection with tablet device cameras managed by project personnel on site.
“We are extremely pleased to add this excellent facility to our growing list of regional offices,” said John-Paul Saenz, president of Haskell's industrial project delivery group. “It was designed to improve workspace quality for our employees and provide the latest in available tools and systems. The end result is a more effective and efficient team providing additional value for our clients.”
