CHICAGO, Ill. — Clayco Inc. has raised the bar on worker safety by recently receiving three awards from the National Safety Council. The awards recognize Clayco’s dedication to ensuring all people working on job sites go home injury free, and demonstrate their commitment to a culture that promotes safety.

- The Occupational Excellence Achievement Award, honoring companies reporting injuries and illnesses involving days away from work equal to or less than 50 percent of the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
- The Perfect Record Award honoring 12 consecutive months without incurring an occupational injury or illness involving days away from work.
- The Milestone Award, given for completing a period of at least 30 consecutive days without incurring an occupational injury or illness involving days away from work.

Firms apply for each award individually and achievement is based on compliance with OSHA record-keeping requirements. The National Safety Council awards set benchmarks for the industry between competitors and within a company to establish exceptional safety practices.
