The Neenan Company Wins National Ethics Award

FORT COLLINS, Colo. —The Neenan Company recently received the American Business Ethics Award, a national award that honors U.S. companies that demonstrate a deep commitment to the highest ethical standards.

Chosen from a field of 30 other companies across the U.S., The Neenan Company received the highest marks in each of the categories considered: executive commitment to business ethics; quality of an ongoing, corporate ethics program; demonstrated ethical business practices and commitment to stakeholders. The Neenan Company received such high marks for its “stand up, don"t cover up” philosophy, which guided the company through challenges it faced when structural engineering deficiencies were discovered in several schools it had designed and built.

“We never sought accolades for doing the right thing, and being acknowledged at such a high level is truly a special event for The Neenan Company,” said Randy Myers, president of the firm. “For one of our clients to take the time to nominate us for this award is particularly gratifying, and I"d like to thank Jo Barbie, superintendent for Weld County School District 1, for taking the time to do so.”

The American Business Ethics Award is presented by the Foundation for Financial Service Professionals. The award was created in 1994 and recognizes companies that exemplify high ethical standards in their everyday business or in response to specific crises or challenges. The Neenan Company joins a distinguished list of U.S. companies that have received the award, including Kimberly-Clark, General Mills, Starbucks and Colorado companies Lockheed Martin, Merrick & Company and Wright Water Engineers.

Anne Rigney, Foundation for Financial Services trustee, and April Caudill, chairwoman of the Foundation for Financial Service Professionals, will present the American Business Ethics Award to The Neenan Company and its 100 employees in a ceremony.
