The Korte Company, based in Highland, Ill., will construct the surgery center as a design-build project, handling both architectural and design services. The 5,528-square-foot SIH Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery Center will be located in Carbondale, Ill. and will be completed in 2014.
The surgery center will specialize in burns, microsurgery, pediatrics, trauma, cosmetics, breast augmentation, wounds and weight loss. It will also provide patients non-surgical treatment options, such as laser treatments, chemical peels and Botox injections.
When completed, the center will include three exam rooms, a procedure room, a treatment room, a waiting room with retail space and a private discharge waiting room area.
