Get2Know Clark: A TransFORUMation

In just seven short months, the Clark Construction team worked alongside Madison Square Garden Co., to bring their vision for the famed Forum to life. Once the home fo the Los Angeles Lakers and Kings, the 43-year-old structure has been resurrected and now stands as the nation's largest indoor performance venue with an exclusive focus on music and entertainment.

Precise execution was critical to delivering MSG's vision within a tight schedule. To set the pace, the team put in 20-hour days to gut the Forum in just one month. Over the next six months, crews followed short interval planning schedules to guide simultaneous work on a dozen unique fit-outs, including strengthening the ceiling with 230 tons of steel. Daily on-site collaboration with MSG expedited decision making and allowed work to progress at an unprecedented rate. At the height of construction, over 600 craftsmen worked onsite.

The revitalized venue is designed to maximize the experience for both performers and spectators. Some of the new amenities and features include :

  • Plush upholstered movie-theater-style chairs, which can be reconfigured to accommodate events of all sizes.
  • Dedicated backstage rest and relaxation spaces for artists.
  • An 8,000-square-foot hospitality suite and the exclusive Chase Lounge and Forum club.
  • New state-of-the-art lighting and rigging systems.

The Forum re-opened in January with a string of sold-out shows.
