
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — The Rochester Fire Station No. 2 open house was Thursday, Oct. 15 at the new fire station in northeast Rochester, Minnesota.
The new fire station, built by Knutson Construction, provides the Rochester Fire Department with a new 31,000-square-foot facility and is replacing the fire station previously located near Silver Lake, Minnesota.
The new station includes a dispatch center, emergency operations center, office space and a communications room. The upper level includes four apparatus bays, dormitories, kitchen and dining space, a fitness room and offices. Additional features include a small mezzanine, a four-story training tower and an outdoor terrace patio.
