TUCSON, Ariz. –has been retained to build a new academic building at the University of Arizona Health Sciences campus. The Health Sciences Innovation Building will provide simulated practice situations and interaction between multidisciplinary teams of students, faculty and health professionals in medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health.
Located at Mabel Street and the Warren Avenue Mall, the $165-million project will encompass 10 stories, providing flexible large, medium and small group/team learning areas within its 227,000 square feet, as well as state-of-the-art clinical skills and simulations centers for a broad spectrum of instructional applications.
Pre-construction activities began in March, with site mobilization, demolition and utility and foundation work beginning in June.
The project is scheduled to complete prior to the 2018 fall semester. The project designer is CO Architects with local support from Swaim Associates Architects.
