TAMPA, Fla. – Gilbane Building Company has opened a new office in downtown Tampa, Florida. The new office will be led by Vice President Tim Hensey who heads up Gilbane’s Southwest area of Florida. This serves as the seventh office for Gilbane in Florida which joins offices in Sarasota, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando, Gainesville and Jupiter. The location allows the company to better serve clients and partners and deliver safe, quality projects through innovative solutions, Lean construction and proven best practices.
The new office, which is located at 100 South Ashley Drive, in the heart of downtown Tampa, will foster additional opportunity for growth markets such as higher education, healthcare, corporate office and hospitality. Among the firm’s projects are the Museum of American Arts and Crafts Movement, HCC New Allied Health Academic Building, new North Manatee High School and Admiral Farragut Academy Performing Arts Center.
Gilbane, who has a long-time presence and history of more than 45 years in Florida, continues to grow, serving clients on projects such as the JW Marriott Marco Island Resort, Orlando Health System, Baptist Health South Proton Therapy Facility – the first of its kind in South Florida, The Norton Museum of Art and Florida Gulf Coast University Student Health and Fitness Center.
