SAN DIEGO, Calif. – BNBuilders has been selected to construct Drawbridge Realty’s new Class A office building with surface parking and a parking structure on an adjacent site in the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego, California. The award comes as BNBuilders recently announced its move to a new 10,000-square-foot office to accommodate the firm’s growth. As part of its expansion, these new facilities will increase BNBuilders’ portfolio of research, healthcare, laboratory, civic and commercial projects.
BNBuilders’ new award features two components: a new, three-story research & development office building with 4/1000 surface parking, and an adjacent parking structure to serve existing buildings. The 80,720-square-foot R&D building will be constructed with the concrete tilt-up method, and will feature a glass curtainwall to maximize views of the outdoors.
On an adjacent property, BNBuilders will also construct a five-level, 92,223-square-foot parking garage to accommodate 269 parking spaces. For both structures, the builder will provide preconstruction and construction work for the site, structural, architectural, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. Construction on the parking garage is anticipated to commence in Q1, 2018 and construction on the R&D building will commence approximately five weeks later, provided minimum pre-leasing hurdles are achieved.
The buildings are anticipated to be complete in 11 months. The property is being developed by Drawbridge Realty and designed by Pacific Cornerstone Architects.
