TEXO recently honored TDIndustries’ Senior Superintendent David Hollowell with its Specialty Superintendent of the Year award at its Holiday Award Gala. Recipients demonstrate technical ability, team-building skills, quality/project success and personal character.
Hollowell, a 42-year partner, was also part of a group to receive a Distinguished Building Award for the Frost Tower project. His dedication to his work there, as well as his leadership, earned him the individual award.
“David believes in honest and transparent communication that supports the team and produces results, while encouraging growth opportunities for his fellow partners,” Production Manager Mike Feagan said. “He is effective at identifying potential issues before they become a problem and, if issues do arise, he is quick to offer a solution while staying open-minded to other ideas that might work better.”
Hollowell started as a sheet-metal helper more than four decades ago. Now a senior superintendent in Fort Worth, Texas, he has garnered four national ABC Excellence in Construction Eagle awards. During his tenure with TD, Hollowell has helped develop many future leaders through valuable mentoring opportunities. In addition to his work at Frost Tower, he has made important contributions to many TD projects, including Momentum Place, Acme Brick Headquarters, The Kimbell Art Museum and several buildings on Texas Christian University’s campus, among many others.
