John Cherington Joins JE Dunn’s Raleigh Office as Life Sciences Superintendent

John Cherington has joined the Raleigh, North Carolina office of JE Dunn Construction as Life Sciences Superintendent. Cherington is engaged in construction planning and sequencing during the preconstruction phase and continues into the field where he oversees safety, quality and construction trade partners through start up and commissioning, qualification and validation.

Cherington brings 30 years of industry experience to JE Dunn, which includes MEP, instrumentation and controls, and process controls expertise. He will oversee the successful delivery of pharmaceutical and advanced manufacturing facilities, including greenfield and renovations in operational facilities.

His portfolio includes a 176,000-square-foot expansion for PharmaForce in New Albany, Ohio; a 200,000-square-foot vaccine manufacturing facility for Sanofi in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania and a 1-million-square-foot plasma fractionation facility for Baxalta in Covington, Georgia.

Cherington is active in the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering.  He also holds certifications in Universal EPA, OSHA 30 and an electrical journeyman license. His community engagement activities include support of the Boy Scouts of America.
