AP Tops Out Potter County District Courts Building

A topping out ceremony was held to sign the final beam prior to placing it on top of the building Potter County’s District Courts Building, Potter County, Texas, officially marking the midpoint of construction and bringing the replacement facility one step closer to completion. The project team includes AP and HOK Group Inc.

The new building will replace the previous location and relieve the county of increasing maintenance expenses. At 158,250 square feet, the five-story building will have security improvements and house courtrooms, a jury assembly, county offices, courtroom in-custody holding and records storage.

Judges and other elected officials will have access to a separate entrance, along with a separate sheriff’s entrance and vehicle sally port for security and safety. With these additions answering current and future space needs, Potter County is looking forward to the completion and grand opening of their new County District Court Building.

Completion is slated for late 2022.
