LaGuardia Airport’s Delta Air Lines Terminal C in New York City Celebrates Ribbon Cutting

Turner’s project team led approximately 9,000 construction workers over the course of the project.

Delta Airlines opens Concourse E at Terminal C at LaGuardia Airport in New York City with a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony. The 10-gate concourse offers travelers larger gate seating areas and will accommodate Delta’s full domestic fleet of narrowbody aircraft. Turner Construction Company served as the general contractor on the project.

Terminal C was built to include the latest technologies to provide passengers efficiency, service and comfort. Passengers traveling through Terminal C will benefit from hands-free bag drop, self-serve check-in and digital ID screening capabilities. The Delta Sky Club will be one of the largest Delta offers with seating available for nearly 600 guests.

Digital signage provides customers with clear and simple wayfinding that includes walk times between gates. A multi-sensory room provides a calming, supportive environment for customers with sensory sensitivities and their families as they travel.

The terminal is expected to achieve LEED Silver certification and multiple sustainable elements are incorporated, including exterior glass that automatically tints based on the weather and time of day.
