Stevens Construction started an interior renovation and outdoor amenities improvement to the amenity center at Somerset at the Plantation in Fort Myers, Florida.

The company is providing a 12,650-square-foot interior renovation of the community amenity center, which will include a fitness facility, meeting rooms, bathrooms, offices, outdoor bar and event room. Additionally, the company is building four new pickleball courts, two new bocce ball courts, shade canopies and expanding the spa and renovating the sauna.

The company provided six months of preconstruction services, which included assembling and coordinating the design team, providing constructability reviews, cost savings suggestions, which saved the client hundreds of thousands of dollars while not affecting the scope of the project. Additional items were actually added to the project scope as a result of the cost savings provided in preconstruction.

The Stevens Construction team includes Senior Project Manager Alan Bennett, Superintendent Neal Klein and Project Administrator Gina Ferentini. The project was designed by GMA Architects & Planners.
