TEXO Distinguished Building Award winners will be recognized and presented at the TEXO Distinguished Building Awards Recognition Dinner August 3.
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport High C Gates Demolition and Rebuild is the first-place winner in the Specialty Contractor – Mechanical 1 ($0 – $5M) category. This unique project incorporates cutting-edge modular prefabrication techniques. This revolutionary engineering and construction project involved the prefabrication of six modular units built offsite and transported over a mile across an airfield overnight to their location. Structures were moved while the existing gates were still in use by American Airlines. TD was contracted to do the core shell, mechanical and plumbing above grade for the project as the mechanical subcontractor for Archer Western, H.J. Russell and Phillips May to successfully deliver the project.
