Washington Building Congress Awards Rosendin for Excellence in Craftsmanship

Rosendin was recognized by the Washington Building Congress with the 2023 Craftsmanship Award for its work on the QTS Lockridge Data Center in Sterling, Virginia. The construction association awarded the Owner of the Project, QTS, the General Contractor, HITT, the Engineer, H.F. Lenz and the Architect, Corgan, the Power Generation, Distribution and Switchgear Award, recognizing Rosendin’s service and craftsmanship.

The company was awarded for contributing to building Lockridge, a 264,104-square-foot data center hall with an additional 44,256-square-foot admin space located in the heart of data center alley in Loudoun County, Virginia. Rosendin explored opportunities to provide efficiency through BIM, means and methods and execution. Upon completion, Rosendin delivered 42mW of critical power with 32 critical electrical lineups and a house distribution system.

The 500,000-square-foot tenant fill-out for the project completed the 12-month duration in February. Rosendin’s scope of work on the project includes 32 critical switchboards, a 1500KW house generator, house panels, a house UPS system and an emergency lighting inverter. The team is also responsible for the building’s lighting, fire alarm and security rough-ins.
