Representatives from United Airlines, Houston Airport System, Manhattan Construction and Clark Construction recently convened at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, located in Houston, Texas, to unveil plans for the $1.9-billion Terminal B transformation project.
Clark is overseeing construction on the central processor portion of the project, which includes a new baggage claim hall, baggage handling system ticketing hall, security checkpoint and additional airline and airport support spaces, concessions and expanded curbside to ease the terminal’s through-traffic.
The project also includes major updates to the concourse, which will be completed by Manhattan Construction.
The IAH Terminal B transformation project will enable United Airlines to increase terminal capacity and improve the airport experience for travelers, while driving significant economic growth for Houston. The project is slated to create over 3,000 new jobs.
The redevelopment of the several decades-old terminal is expected to be complete in 2026.
