Clovis Community Medical Center Earns Award During Pacific Coast Builders Conference

Clovis Community Medical Center in California has received a 2024 Gold Nugget Award during the Pacific Coast Builders Conference. The project, which won in the Best Health/Wellness Design Solution category, was selected from hundreds of entries as the best of the category.

The project involved a new 148-bed tower, along with renovated and expanded departments. An expanded two-story main lobby was designed as a welcoming prominent entry with warm wood, natural stone features and an abundance of daylight.

The project team included HMC Architects and Clark Construction. While not delivered via Design-Build, the project team incorporated all 10 of the DBIA’s Design-Build best practices. When the owner added funding during mid-design, the team could add scope while accelerating all necessary permits and maintaining the same opening day. Learn more about this project here.

The Gold Nugget Awards honors design and planning achievements in community and home design, green-built housing, site planning, commercial, retail, mixed-use development and specialty housing categories. For more details, visit  PCBC’s website.
