National Electrical Contractors Association Donates $50,000 to Helmets to Hardhats

The DC Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association has donated proceeds from its 2024 Washington, D.C. NECA Annual Golf Classic to Helmets to Hardhats. This year’s contribution of $50,000 marks the second consecutive year that NECA has made a substantial donation to the nonprofit organization, which focuses on transitioning veterans into careers in the construction industry through registered apprenticeships.

JT Thomas and his dedicated team at NECA played a pivotal role in making this year’s event a success. Their efforts not only raised critical funds but also highlighted the importance of supporting those who have served our country as they embark on new, fulfilling careers in the building trades.

“I would like to express my deep appreciation to the DC Chapter of NECA for supporting the Helmets to Hardhats mission for the second year in a row at their annual golf outing,” said Executive Director Martin F. Helms. “This generous donation will be put to good use in continuing our outreach to veterans and  recruiting them into the excellent opportunities available within the union building trades.”
