Wellness Workdays, a provider of workplace wellness programs, enhances its partnership with Turner Construction by expanding its Wellness Trailer 2.0 program to new locations in and around Texas.
The new regional partnership between Turner Construction and Wellness Workdays was established in Texas in January 2024 with one site, serving over 300 workers. The multi-pronged approach includes one-on-one behavioral health and wellness coaching, injury prevention and management, preventive screenings and telehealth. Stand-downs, table talks, toolbox talks around relevant health and wellness topics, and daily targeted mental and physical prep sessions are additional components of the program.
“The construction industry is inherently demanding, often causing physical stress and burnout among workers. Addressing these issues is vital, and our wellness program is effectively doing so,” said Ian Smith, EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) director at Turner Construction Company. “Our onsite Industrial Athletic Trainer and wellness team from Wellness Workdays have been instrumental in helping employees adopt realistic and positive lifestyle changes, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.”
