Luis Delgado, CCM, president and national group lead for STV’s program and construction management practice, recently became the new chair of the Board of Directors of the Construction Management Association of America.
Delgado drives STV’s strategic plan vision leveraging his delivery expertise and business leadership skills acquired by managing extensive major capital programs and projects throughout his career. Prior to joining STV, he served as U.S. west region director of growth for a multinational engineering firm, where he oversaw more than $7.5 billion in projects across 32 states. He is a member of the CMAA North Texas Chapter. He has served as a CMAA Chapter leader, national committee member and chair, PCM instructor and board member.
Starting his career in Mexico, Delgado faced firsthand the challenges of delivering capital projects without universally accepted industry standards, tools or training. That experience ignited his passion for finding solutions, which ultimately led him to CMAA when he began working in the United States 25 years ago. Now, he leads as chair as CMAA officially launches its International Engagement Committee to look at ways of building stronger connections with PM/CM professionals in different parts of the world.
