Cadence McShane Tapped to Build NFM, Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in New Cedar Park Development

Cadence McShane Construction has been tapped to construct both Nebraska Furniture Mart, and a Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, two landmark projects that will transform the Cedar Park, Texas area. As part of the CedarView Development, an 117-acre master plan led by NFM, these projects will bring record-breaking milestones for the city and the local community.

The NFM project includes an approximately 1 million-square-foot warehouse, a 543,000-square-foot retail store and a 1,175-car precast parking garage, among other infrastructure that supports this development. Designed by ChangeUp, with Kenneth Hahn Architects as the architect of record, this will be NFM’s second location in Texas, making it the only state in the country with multiple NFM locations.

Within the master-planned development will be a full-service Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, developed by Great Lakes Capital in partnership with city of Cedar Park and NFM, and designed by Luminaut. This project will be one of the city’s exclusive full-service hotels featuring approximately 300 guest rooms, a 30,000-square-foot convention center, full-service restaurant, breakfast café and pool amenity deck with bar. A precast parking garage will support the facility. The city-owned convention center provides a dedicated space for large-scale events and conferences, further enhancing economic and social infrastructure.

Construction on NFM Cedar Park has already begun, with completion expected in spring 2027. Work on the Marriott commenced this spring and is anticipated to open in early 2027.
