A grand opening was held for Johnson Controls’ new Innovation Center – Warren Johnson Engineering Lab. The new 109,000-square-foot facility, located in Glendale, Wisconsin, houses approximately 250 employees dedicated to advancing smart building technologies and sustainable solutions. ABC Releases Data for September Construction Job Openings
The construction industry had 288,000 job openings on the last day of September, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors’ analysis of data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey. JOLTS defines a job opening as any unfilled position for which an employer is actively recruiting. Balfour Beatty started construction on a $95.5 million mixed-use development on North Henderson Avenue in Dallas, Texas. Owned and developed by Acadia Realty Trust and development firm Ignite-Rebees, the 161,000-square-foot, creative mixed-use development will occupy a site on Henderson Avenue that has been vacant for decades.
