MIAMI, Fla. — Joe Cerri has rejoined Plaza Construction as general superintendent. With over 30 years of construction experience, Cerri's earlier projects with Plaza included the W South Beach hotel and the Dadeland Mall Kendall Wing Expansion.
Cerri oversees and supports field superintendents, prepares schedules, develops site logistics and sequencing plans and manages safety, quality and subcontractor coordination. Cerri holds a degree in civil engineering.
Recipient of the Contractor of the Year 2013 Award from the American Institute of Architects Miami Chapter, Plaza Construction is one of South Florida's full-service general contractors and construction managers. Plaza is known for such projects as the W South Beach hotel, the 67-story Marquis and Canyon Ranch North Tower, to name a few.
Brad Meltzer, principal and president of Plaza's Southeast Region, stated the firm is also constructing four ultra-luxury condominiums for The Related Group, including the $187-million One Ocean in South Beach, the $118-million, 42-story Icon Bay in Miami's Biscayne Corridor, the $105-million, 42-story Millecento Residences by Pininfarina in Miami's Brickell neighborhood and the $88-million Marea in South Beach; 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach, a beachfront redevelopment by The LeFrak Organization, Starwood Capital Group and Invesco Ltd.; AC Hotel by Marriott in Miami Beach, the U.S's first all-new AC Hotel, being developed by Robert Finvarb Companies; Beach House 8, a luxury Miami Beach condominium by Morabito Properties and others. In addition, Plaza recently completed the multimillion-dollar Dadeland Mall Kendall Wing Expansion under its contract with Simon Property Group.
