Hensel Phelps has been awarded the University of Texas at El Paso Interdisciplinary Research Building project in El Paso, Texas.
This project includes the construction of a new 150,000-square-foot building to replace two underutilized buildings. It will provide critically needed space to continue expanding the number of fast-growing, multidisciplinary research initiatives aligned with the priorities articulated in UTEP’s Research Strategic Plan. Additional scope will include expanding the thermal plant infrastructure, extending electrical and communication duct banks and other anticipated site improvements.
Preconstruction started in August of 2016, with construction starting in March of 2017.
