MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Knutson Construction has been selected to be the design-builder on two projects for Treasure Island Resort and Casino in Red Wing, Minnesota. Renovation of the Tradewinds Buffet begins June 1 and will include a complete demolition of the existing buffet. Knutson will also be adding a water park. This new addition will include water slides, a lazy river, a recreational swimming pool and an adult pool with a swim-up bar. The addition will also include an upscale spa and salon.
The construction team will be led by Dave Bastyr, principal in charge; Chris Lyles, project manager; Linnea Haler, project engineer; Chris Holtz, superintendent on the water park; Joe Toronto, superintendent on the Tradewinds Buffet and Paul Smith, assistant superintendent for both projects.
