
SARASOTA, Fla. — Gilbane Building Company joined developer Mark Kauffman and Partners, architect Jonathan Parks and local officials to kick off the construction of Rosemary Square, a mixed-use project located along the
Boulevard of Arts in Sarasota, Florida. The now vacant tract of land will become a vibrant area supporting the arts and creating a new hip urban lifestyle.
The project, located along the Boulevard of Arts, includes retail and commercial office space, 50 multi-unit residential condominium units, which 30 will be used for housing for the Sarasota Opera to house their artists, a boutique theater and fine arts. Located near core downtown amenities, the development will include a town square creating an outdoor focal point for residents, businesses and the public.
The project which is designed to complement the local neighborhoods in the downtown Sarasota area is anticipated be completed in summer of 2016.
