Clark Projects Earn USGBC National Capital Region Awards of Excellence

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Green Building Council National Capital Region Chapter recently honored Clark’s Three Constitution Square and CityCenterDC projects during its Midsummer Night's Green Gala.

Completed by Clark in 2014, the Three Constitution Square project earned the Project of the Year – Core & Shell award. Three Constitution Square is a LEED Platinum office building at the mixed-use Constitution Square development in the NoMa neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The building offers abundant green space and was designed to maximize natural light in coordination with energy-efficient lighting to minimize energy use.

CityCenterDC, also completed by Clark in 2014, earned the Project of the Year – Neighborhood Development award. The urban redevelopment project is one of the largest in the history of D.C., and has earned LEED Gold certification for Neighborhood Development. CityCenterDC is a model for responsible, environmentally sensitive, multi-use developments. From building techniques and construction materials, to infrastructure, high-performance technologies and efficiencies, all elements of the master plan positively influence the environment and everyday quality of life.
