TDIndustries Wins 2 TEXO Distinguished Building Awards

Frost Tower

TEXO recently honored TDIndustries with two 2019 Distinguished Building Awards, one for TD’s work on Frost Tower in Fort Worth, Texas, and the second for Texas Scottish Rite for Children Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center in Frisco, Texas.

TD earned the Scottish Rite award in the $10-million-plus Mechanical 3 category, and Frost Tower in the $5-10 million Mechanical 2 group. To view the full gallery of winners, see TEXO’s photo gallery on Facebook.

Scottish Rite’s Frisco campus was its first major expansion from its home building in downtown Dallas. TD performed design-assist services for mechanical and plumbing processes on this 347,000-square-foot medical facility, keeping in mind its likely growth into a hospital in the next decade. Through a collaborative process, TD helped the entire team created additional value.

Frost Tower is Fort Worth’s seventh tallest building, checking in at 25 stories. It’s the city’s first high-rise in 20 years, and the first Class AA-plus office tower in 10 years. TD provided mechanical and plumbing systems on this 28-month project, which includes 250,000 square feet of office space and 45,000 square feet of amenity floors.

The Texas Scottish Rite Frisco project also took home several other awards, including the HealthCare 3 (over $30 million) category for The Beck Group, while BrightView Landscape Development (exteriors, all amounts) and Walker Engineering (merit winner, other specialty, all amounts) also earned accolades.

The Beck Group also won the Building 6 category (more than $75 million) for JPMorgan Chase at Legacy West, in which TD completed the mechanical construction for the project.
