East Boynton Beach Little League will take cover this season under four new dugouts funded by the City of Boynton Beach, Florida and built in partnership with DPR Construction’s Builder Bootcamp, a developmental program for aspiring engineers.
The mission of DPR’s Builder Bootcamp is to inspire project engineers to become better builders, expose them to various aspects of the building process and to give back to the community. For local, Boynton Beach residents, Builder Bootcamp teams will build four 16-by-8-foot dugouts for the East Boynton Beach Little League. From pouring the concrete slabs, to erecting the steel columns to constructing the truss roofs with shingles, project team members will be responsible for every aspect of the project.
On Friday, Sept. 27, DPR Construction and the City of Boynton Beach will host an unveiling celebration at 300 Woolbright Road with remarks. The event will feature a celebratory luncheon with Boynton Beach local dignitaries, construction program participants and East Boynton Beach Little League representatives. Select media partners are invited to capture the unveiling of the four dugouts and participate in project tour.
- 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-1:30 p.m. – project team interviews
- Noon-12:30 p.m. – Dugouts unveiling and dignitaries’ remarks
