Paul Levin has been promoted to senior vice president of health, safety & environment at Sundt Construction. Levin, a 36-year construction industry veteran, has spent 29 years with Sundt, where he’s been instrumental in advancing the company’s safety program, while advocating for a new approach to safety throughout the construction industry.
Throughout his tenure at Sundt, Levin has played a key role in earning the company 11 National AGC Safety Awards, including the CSE Grand Award twice. His work in safety excellence also garnered Sundt the American Society of Concrete Contractors W. Burr Bennett for Safety Excellence award on two occasions. Most recently, the company earned the 2024 AGC Construction Innovation of the Year Award for the STOP The STCKY Program, an initiative that Levin and his team created in response to the construction industry’s stagnant fatality rate.
Levin’s influence extends beyond Sundt. In addition to serving on the board of advisors for the Construction Safety Research Alliance, he’s held other industry leadership roles, including chair of the National Construction Safety Executives from 2017-19. He holds multiple degrees and certifications, including a B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health, an MBA in Business/Human Resources and a Juris Doctor. He is a Certified Safety Professional, Certified Risk Manager and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist.
