McCarthy Project Director Bailey Ruff Named Chapter Chair of DBIA

Bailey Ruff

Bailey Ruff, project director at McCarthy Building Companies, has been appointed as chapter chair of the Nevada Chapter of the Design-Build Institute of America. A respected construction leader with nearly a decade of experience shaping Nevada’s public and private infrastructure, Ruff will lead the chapter’s efforts in advancing the Design-Build delivery method, supporting professional development and fostering the next generation of industry talent.

As chapter chair, Ruff will oversee all facets of the organization, including strategic initiatives, industry outreach, education, student engagement and fundraising efforts that support scholarships and workforce development programs. Her appointment marks a continued commitment by DBIA Nevada to foster innovation, inclusion, and excellence in the industry.

Ruff’s promotion to project director at McCarthy Building Companies earlier this year reflects her continued ascent as a leader in Nevada’s construction industry. Throughout her nearly 10-year career with McCarthy, she has led projects totaling over $2 billion in value, including high-profile efforts such as Allegiant Stadium, the Tropicana Parking Garage at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the new Forensic Laboratory in Henderson.

In her new role with DBIA, Ruff is particularly excited to expand educational opportunities for both professionals and students, while championing the collaborative spirit at the heart of the Design-Build model. She will also work closely with the DBIA student chapter and regional partners to promote innovation, diversity and community impact through construction.
