Post-Tensioning Institute Partners with PRO: An ACI Center of Excellence for Advancing Productivity

The Post-Tensioning Institute has partnered with PRO: An ACI Center of Excellence for Advancing Productivity as Allied Organizations. Both organizations aim to increase collaboration among designers, contractors and suppliers while finding new ways to boost construction efficiency. The partnership will offer a platform for sharing knowledge and creating solutions for productivity issues in the field.

PRO’s partnership with PTI will:

• Promote collaboration to solve barriers to productivity in concrete construction

• Support technologies that improve productivity

• Develop and advocate for consensus-based codes and standards

• Identify and support research for measuring and advancing productivity

• Provide technology transfer, professional development, course content and resources to industry professionals.

For nearly 50 years, PTI has created design and construction standards, run education programs and published technical resources that promote post-tensioning worldwide. Its efforts have helped establish post-tensioning as a trusted construction method. PRO works to improve efficiency in the concrete industry. Its goal is to solve constructability problems by uniting industry leaders to share knowledge. Through training, partnership and proving new technologies, PRO aims to raise productivity by improving the use of labor, time and materials.
