New website allows companies to auction or sell surplus construction materials, tools, equipment, and real estate for $5 with no commissions
On August 4th ConstructionSurplus.com went live allowing people to post anything from hand tools, trucks, power tools, heavy equipment, surplus materials, to real estate/property. Posts are free until September 1, 2009.
After September 1st postings will be $5 without any commissions, regardless how much the item(s) sell for. At a time of economic uncertainty, the focus of the site is to give construction companies and suppliers an opportunity to unload surplus materials and equipment adding back to their bottom line.
Additional services including advertising, classified ads, and online stores are also offered. Discounts are available depending on the volume of items.
