JEFFERSON VALLEY, N.Y. — The Blue Book Building and Construction Network, provider of information and workflow solutions for the commercial construction industry, recently announced it has purchased the assets of Jobsite123.com, LLC, including the Jobsite123.com website and prequalification system which will be integrated into thebluebook.com network and all related Internet-based software services.
The Blue Book Network has been focused on improving the buying and hiring process within the construction industry for over 100 years. Following their mission of continuous improvement, Richard Johnson, president of The Blue Book Network, explained that “our users continuously ask for more detailed information to improve their decision-making process during the hiring and buying phases of a project. Quick access to qualifying information on contractors, suppliers and other construction vendors is critical. With our acquisition of the Jobsite123 profile system, we will enable our customers to showcase their project experience and supporting qualifications to companies looking for their products or services. This system will provide all contractors and construction-related companies a simple and easy-to-use tool to develop and publish virtually unlimited critical information online, at the fingertips of general contractors, project owners and other industry buyers. This enhanced profile information will be readily available throughout the entire Blue Book Network and the major search engines.” For the past 14 years The Blue Book Network has been developing and deploying Internet-based solutions to support the commercial construction industry and this acquisition demonstrates their commitment to improving the workflow throughout the entire industry.Coty Fournier, co-founder and CEO of Jobsite123.com and now vice president of network solutions for The Blue Book Network, had a vision six years ago to improve the construction workflow specifically focused on the prequalification process. “My goal in launching Jobsite123.com was to enable construction buyers to search for any company's relevant qualifications online — and find exactly what they were looking for in three clicks or less. After spending nearly 20 years running projects, large and small for construction companies and owners, I knew there had to be a better way. By joining forces with The Blue Book Network, I am confident that our standardizing profile system and search engine optimization, integrated into The Blue Book Network, will provide a unique and winning combination for the industry.”
More information is expected to be released later in the year as the integration process is completed. A target date to launch the integrated systems is set for January 1, 2014.
