CHICAGO, Ill. – Marriott Marquis Chicago recently opened its doors to guests, providing conventioneers and visitors to Chicago, Illinois’ South Loop with a new option for hotel accommodations. The anticipated addition to the McCormick Square campus brings additional hotel space to the community surrounding McCormick Place, the nation’s largest convention center. Clark Construction Group, lead member of the Design-Build joint venture team Prairie District3 Partners, partnered with the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority to deliver the $350-million hotel, support structures and campus improvements. Phase 1 of Largest Healthcare P3 Project in Canada Complete

After nearly a decade of work, Phase 1 of the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal is complete. The project team included Obrascón Huarte Lain, Laing O’Rourke, along with CannonDesign and Neuf Architects. Begun in 2009, the CHUM teaching institution is one of the largest healthcare public-private partnership projects in Canada. Initially structured as a two-phased project, the design of the campus arrangement and architecture were reconfigured in order to accelerate development. MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Kraus-Anderson Construction Company has completed two major projects for Stillwater Public Schools. Just in time for students returning to school in the fall, projects included construction of the new Brookview Elementary School, as well as a ninth-grade addition and new athletic complex at Stillwater High School. Brookview Elementary School Brookview Elementary in Woodbury, Minnesota is a new 74,000-square-foot, $18.6-million facility that can serve up to 600 students grades K-5. DALLAS, Texas – Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. and Arup celebrated the official opening of the Queensferry Crossing by Her Majesty The Queen. The Jacobs Arup joint venture has worked with Transport Scotland since 2007 to develop and manage the Forth Replacement Crossing project in the east of Scotland.
