AEM e-Book Promotes Safety, Best Practices

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers has published its first safety manual e-book to enable equipment operators to conveniently access safety information wherever they carry their mobile devices. This first AEM e-book is an electronic version of the association's popular Hydraulic Excavator Safety Manual. AEM developed the e-book safety manual in response to industry requests. It is not meant to replace print but provides another avenue to reach equipment operators and help them practice safety on the jobsite. Kraus-Anderson Selected to Build Biological Station in Itasca State Park

BEMIDJI, Minn. — The University of Minnesota has selected Kraus-Anderson as construction manager for the new 11,800-square-foot Campus Center at the Itasca Biological Station and Laboratories in Itasca State Park. Construction is expected to begin in April 2013, with completion in December 2013. The project will replace three, 60-year old obsolete buildings with one facility providing year-round classrooms and technology-enabled laboratories. The new facility will accommodate a 20-percent increase in capacity at peak season and address a growing demand for year-round use.
