Construction Employment Increases as Sector Rebuilds

Construction firms added jobs in 40 states and the District of Columbia over the past 12 months and in 30 states and D.C. between April and May, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of Labor Department data. Construction Spending Struggles, Overall Economy Forecasted to Improve

Construction activity typically slows during the winter and, with the unusually severe storms around the country, this winter was no exception. A good indicator that the construction economy is improving is that construction spending this winter was actually higher than last year. Kraus-Anderson to Build District H.S., Municipal Event Center in North Dakota

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Kraus-Anderson Construction Company will build a new district high school and adjoining, municipal event and recreation center in Watford City, North Dakota, in the fastest-growing county in the nation.
