American Society of Concrete Contractors Publishes 45th Position Statement

The American Society of Concrete Contractors published its 45th position statement, “Managing Concrete Projects: Concrete/Steel Price and Delivery Volatility Risks.”  ASCC position statements clarify the concrete contractors’ point of view for architects, engineers, owners and others. Position statement 45 explains that the recent unpredictable market fluctuation and supply shortages for materials are beyond the contractor’s control, making it difficult to maintain the costs and schedules anticipated at bid time. The position statement calls for early involvement in project design for the concrete contractor and its suppliers to best manage the material supply chain. Sundt Foundation Donates Over $82,000 to Charities

The Sundt Foundation donated $82,308 to 18 Phoenix, Arizona-area charities. Four nonprofits, Arizona Helping Hands, Dress for Success Phoenix, Soldier’s Best Friend and Treasure House, each received a $7,500 grant. Nonprofits that received smaller grants include the Arizona Association for Foster & Adoptive Parents, Arizona Pet Project, Arizona Safe Baby Haven Foundation, Brighter Way Institute, Christ Child Society of Phoenix, Mom’s Pantry Phoenix, Control Alt Delete, Elder TLC, F.O.R. Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute Names Winners of 2022 Design Excellence and Creative Detail Awards

The Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute announced the winners of its 2022 CFSEI Design Excellence and Creative Detail awards. The awards were presented during the 2022 CFSEI Expo held May 16-18 at the Curtis Denver Hotel in Denver, Colorado.
