HITT Contracting Inc. Opens New York Office

The owners of HITT Contracting Inc. recently opened a New York office with the acquisition of Manhattan-based Americon Construction, a full-service commercial contractor with more than 26 of experience in commercial interiors. Americon will operate as an affiliate of HITT, and do business as Americon HITT. Headquartered just outside of Washington, D.C., HITT will be expanding their reach northward. MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Knutson Construction’s project, the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s St. Paul Campus, was recently selected as a Gold award winner for the Brick Industry Association’s ‘Brick in Architecture’ awards program. Since its founding in 1934, the Brick Industry Association has been the nationwide authority on clay brick construction. Brasfield & Gorrie Recognized by Design-Build Institute of America

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Design-Build Institute of America will recognize Brasfield & Gorrie and its joint venture partner, RQ Construction, for their work on the Wallace Creek North Bachelor Enlisted Quarters Complex in Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. The project will be honored with an Award of Merit later this year. The Wallace Creek North BEQ was cited for having utilized Design-Build in project delivery and for overcoming significant construction challenges.
