Rick Oster Joins Kraus-Anderson as Project Superintendent

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Rick Oster has recently been hired as project superintendent at the Bemidji, Minnesota office of Kraus-Anderson Construction Company. Prior to joining KA, Oster was a construction superintendent for Donlar Construction, where he managed commercial construction projects in the education, retail and medical sectors. Oster holds a LEED for Homes certification and an Erosion and Stormwater Management certification. He also serves as a residential energy auditor and was an instructor at Northwest Technical College in Bemidji.

Hensel Phelps has been awarded Pena Station Phase 1 infrastructure project located in Denver, Colorado. Gilbane Building Company Awarded CM of James Lick High School Project

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Gilbane Building Company has been selected by East Side Union High School District to manage the development of a new student center and adjacent quad modernization on the James Lick High School Campus in San Jose, California. This project will include modernization of classrooms and campus wide infrastructure upgrades. James Lick High School was constructed in 1950 and is the oldest campus in the district. Gilbane will be engaged early in design through construction and close-out.

June Construction Starts Retreat 15%

NEW YORK, N.Y. — New construction starts in June dropped 15 percent from the previous month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $620.2 billion, according to Dodge Data & Analytics. The decline followed an especially strong May, which benefitted from a $9-billion liquefied natural gas export terminal in Texas being entered as a May start.
