Dodge Construction Network: Latest Construction Starts Data Shows Growth in Select Sectors

Total construction starts were down 9% in April to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.03 trillion, according to Dodge Construction Network. Nonresidential building starts declined 3%, residential starts fell 4%, while nonbuilding starts decreased 22%. Hoar Construction Breaks Ground on Medical Office Building for Anchor Health in Lakeland, Florida

A recent groundbreaking signaled the start of construction on the 77,200-square-foot Watson Clinic Medical Office Building for Anchor Health Properties in Lakeland, Florida. Hoar is serving as the general contractor for the project, which is expected to be completed by second quarter 2026 and will include offices and imaging labs. The four-story, tilt-wall project is going vertical, with a topping out expected later this summer.
