Kitchell Breaks Ground on Phoenix Children's – Southwest Valley Center

PHOENIX, Ariz. — Extending its relationship with Phoenix Children's Hospital beyond the recently completed tower in central Phoenix, Kitchell has been tapped to build Phoenix Children's Southwest Valley Center in Avondale, Ariz. The 35,344-square-foot center will complement children's health services already in the community with comprehensive specialty and subspecialty care on weekdays and advanced pediatric urgent care on nights and weekends. Construction Equipment Sales Grew 25% Worldwide in 2011

Sales of construction equipment by the world's 50 largest manufacturers grew 25 percent last year to $182 billion, according to the annual Yellow Table survey by KHL Group. This was a record for the industry, surpassing the previous high of $168 billion, set in 2008, prior to the global financial crisis. Construction Materials Prices Spike in March

The cost of construction materials jumped in March, even as the amount contractors charge to complete projects remained stagnant, according to an analysis of producer price index figures released by the Associated General Contractors of America. Christiana Care Health System, Skanska USA Host Topping Out Ceremony for Wilmington Hospital in Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. Christiana Care Health System, commemorated the structural completion milestone at Wilmington Hospital during a topping-out ceremony on the top floor of the public parking garage on the hospital’s campus. Christiana Care leaders were joined by leaders from the construction management firm Skanska USA, which is overseeing the expansion. The project is expected to be fully complete in 2014.
