PEORIA, Ill. — Caterpillar Inc. announced it has selected land near Athens, Ga. as the location for a new facility that will build small track-type tractors and mini hydraulic excavators. The state-of-the-art, 1-million-square-foot-facility is expected to directly employ 1,400 people once it is fully operational. FORT MYERS, Fla. —Stevens Construction has completed the 18,651-square-foot emergency department renovation at the Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center. Located in Sebring, Fla., the project involved the renovation of 32 exam rooms, including two trauma cardiac areas, isolation exam rooms and three nurse’s stations. The multi-phased project occurred while the emergency department was still operational, allowing the hospital to continue to serve emergency patients in one area of the department while the other half was under construction.
