AGC Reports on Construction Employment Increase, Prior Peaks

OSHA Renews Alliance with Scaffold and Access Industry Association

WASHINGTON, D.C. —The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has renewed its alliance with the Scaffold and Access Industry Association to provide information and training to protect the safety and health of workers who use scaffolds and lift equipment. Bencardino Excavating Trains Employees on New OSHA Safety Procedures

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Louis Bencardino and members of the Bencardino Excavating safety committee have recently been trained on a new system for standardizing the classification of chemicals. The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals meets new Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and takes an international approach to chemical safety in the workplace. Construction Employment Increases, Unemployment Rate Falls Reports AGC

Construction employers added 17,000 jobs in November as the sector's employment hit the highest level since August 2009, and the industry unemployment rate fell to 8.6 percent, according to an analysis of new government data by the Associated General Contractors of America.
