McCarthy Building Companies has been selected by ICL to build a $400-million lithium iron phosphate battery materials manufacturing plant in St. Louis, Missouri. The new facility is expected to be the first commercial-scale LFP battery materials manufacturing plant in the United States and will serve as the foundation for ICL’s global battery materials business. The 140,000-square-foot battery materials plant is expected to produce 30,000 metric tons for use in batteries that can store energy needed to run electric vehicles, charging stations or on the electric grid. PCL Construction Completes Minnesota Zoo Treetop Trail

The Minnesota Zoo Treetop Trail is officially open to the public. Located in Apple Valley, construction began in May of 2022. Built by PCL Construction, the project consisted of repurposing the zoo’s old monorail track to make the 1.25-mile elevated walking path, rising to 32 feet above ground at the highest point.
